The Link Between High Potency 10 and Psychotic Disorder

A growing number of states are regulating marijuana, but many don’t take potency into account when setting sales limits. Instead, they use the weight of a particular product or concentration of a cannabinoid to set maximum sale amounts. As a result, consumers can easily purchase high-potency cannabis, which is associated with more adverse outcomes.

Using data from 11 different sites in Amsterdam, Palermo, and London, researchers found that the use of high-potency cannabis is linked to an increased risk for psychotic disorder. The study compared people who reported using high-potency cannabis to those who used low-potency cannabis. In each city, the researchers found a higher incidence of psychotic disorder among daily cannabis users who reported using high-potency cannabis.

High-Potency Powerhouse: Exploring 10,000mg CBD Cream

High potency 10,000mg cream was published in the journal Psychosis. The study has a few limitations, including that it only collected samples of cannabis at a single time point, which might not accurately represent the THC concentration to which participants are regularly exposed over time. In addition, the cross-sectional design of this study makes it difficult to establish causality. Future longitudinal analyses with reliable measures of cannabis potency are needed.

The differences between delta-8 and delta-10 THC stem from their chemical structure, and the placement of a double bond on a chain of carbon atoms they share. This difference affects how they interact with the body’s endocannabinoid system and creates distinct effects. Delta-8 is known for its mellow and calming effects, while delta-10 is associated with an energetic uplift.
